MIAPPE was initiated in the context of the transPLANT project, which was funded by the European Commission within its 7th Framework Programme under the thematic area "Infrastructures", in collaboration with the European Plant Phenotyping Network (EPPN). It is being maintained, extended and applied in the context of several infrastructures and projects:
